Welcome! I’m Elton Ault, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled in this tiny but rich country—only marginally smaller than the UK—I find inspiration in the beauty of our lush landscapes and the warmth of our diverse communities. From the winding banks of the Pomeroon River to the delightful flavors of our local cuisine, including the ever-popular salty pineapple, every day is a celebration of what it means to be Guyanese.
As someone who shares a deep connection with our homeland, I often reflect on the sentiments expressed by fellow Guyanese: “If you’re not from there, you won’t understand it.” It’s a reminder of the unique experiences that shape us and the pride we carry wherever we go. Whether it’s reminiscing about life in St. Monica or sharing stories with fellow “GUY ANNAS” from the diaspora, I cherish the bonds that tie us together, no matter where we are in the world.
