Hello! I’m Elvis Prince, a proud miner from Leonora Police in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region of Guyana. Our land is rich in resources, and so is our culture; from the vibrant sounds of chutney and calypso to the irresistible aroma of pepperpot and cook-up rice wafting through the air at gatherings. I carry the spirit of my heritage with me, and I relish sharing stories of my hometown with anyone who will listen.
Growing up near the majestic Pomeroon River, I’ve always felt a deep connection to the natural beauty surrounding me. The lush greenery, diverse wildlife, and friendly communities are just a few reasons why I hold Guyana close to my heart. Whether I’m taking a stroll along the riverbanks or enjoying a Sunday cookout with family, those moments remind me of our strength and resilience as a people. It’s where my roots are, and I am proud to represent Guyana wherever I go.
