Hello! My name is Emelda Fredericks, and I am a proud charwoman residing in the vibrant Mission area of Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the Pomeroon River flows and where the essence of our culture, from the mouthwatering taste of pepperpot to the colorful festivities of Mashramani, thrives. I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, often gathering with neighbors to share stories, laughter, and some delicious local dishes, keeping our traditions alive and well.
Through my work, I strive to embody the spirit of our community, fostering connections both here and among the diaspora. As many Guyanese know, whether we're in the US or back home, there's an unbreakable bond that ties us to our homeland.
