Hello! I’m Errol Whyte, a proud Guyanese heavy-duty operator based in the beautiful region of Regina Essequibo Coast. Growing up along the Pomeroon River, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich culture and vibrant community that Guyana has to offer. From indulging in a hearty plate of pepperpot during the festive season to enjoying a quiet evening by the sea dam, my roots are deeply intertwined with the land and its traditions.
Living in a country known for its breathtaking landscapes, including the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the lush rainforests, I appreciate the beauty that Guyana brings. However, I’m also aware of the challenges we face, including concerns about safety and the quest for equitable distribution of our oil wealth. The conversations around these topics resonate with many, both locals and those in the diaspora, who often share their experiences of our vibrant community and diverse culture.
As someone who has interacted with various cultures, I take pride in the warmth and hospitality of our people. Despite the challenges, I believe that the strength of our community lies in our resilience and our ability to support one another.
