Greetings! My name is Estell Lewis, and I’m proud to call Wakenaam e Maria's Pleasure, in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Growing up in this vibrant community, I've come to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of our land, from the lush landscapes surrounding the Pomeroon River to the delightful flavors of our local cuisine. Whether it’s a hearty plate of cook-up rice or a refreshing glass of mauby, I find joy in sharing these culinary experiences with family and friends.
As a resident of Guyana, I have a unique perspective on our country’s role in the Caribbean and its connections to the diaspora.
