Hello! I’m Eugene Goddette, a proud sawman hailing from the serene Upper Pomeroon River at Kaibourie Canal Dredge in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots are deeply grounded in the lush landscapes of my homeland, where the vibrant culture and rich traditions shape our everyday lives. From enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot during the holiday season to taking leisurely boat rides along the winding rivers, I cherish every moment that connects me to my heritage.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I often reflect on the unique blend of influences that our country has to offer. Whether it's the melodic rhythms of our local music or the tantalizing flavors of our food, like cook-up rice and fried plantain, I find joy in sharing these experiences with friends and family, both near and far. I often engage with my fellow Guyanese, celebrating our stories and supporting one another, as many of us have ventured beyond our borders yet hold our culture close to our hearts.
