Welcome! My name is Ezetta Williams, and I proudly call Manawarin Rock and Roll Southern in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers of this area has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage. From the sweet tones of the tassa drums during our local festivals to the delectable flavors of our traditional dishes, I cherish every moment that connects me to my roots.
As a resident of this enchanting region, I take inspiration from the stories and experiences of my fellow Guyanese, whether it’s the nostalgia of a “hillbilly flitter” shared at family gatherings or the lively conversations about our beloved landmarks, like the iconic Essequibo River. I often reflect on how those of us in the diaspora maintain our connection to Guyana, celebrating our shared culture through food, music, and heartfelt memories.
