Hello! I’m Ezzie Bourne, a dedicated Land Administration Officer based in the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically at the 42 Housing Scheme in Jib, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My role allows me to connect with our rich land heritage while serving our community, ensuring that every piece of land is managed with care and respect. There’s something special about walking through the lush landscapes of my home, from the banks of the Pomeroon River to the bustling markets filled with the aroma of fresh cook-up rice and pepperpot—dishes that remind me of family gatherings and shared laughter.
I take great pride in my Guyanese roots and the warmth of our culture. Growing up here has shaped my identity, from the lively sounds of parang during the festive season to the friendly banter that fills the air, reminding me of comments like “A wahhhhh u duuuuuu deeeee,” which captures the essence of our local dialect.
