Hello! My name is Farida Shamsudeen, and I’m proud to call the lush and vibrant Essequibo Coast my home. Growing up in the heart of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and the spicy kick of pepperpot to the rhythmic sounds of our folk music echoing through the streets. Living in the Lima Housing Scheme, I am surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Pomeroon River and the lush greenery that defines our landscape.
