Hello! I’m Fatima Alli, a proud daughter of Pomeroon-Supenaam, a region rich in the vibrant culture and traditions of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the rhythms of our local festivals, I’ve always cherished our diverse culinary heritage, from the spicy curry dishes to the sweet treats like cook-up rice and black cake, which bring family and friends together. Whether it's sharing a meal or celebrating Phagwah, every moment spent with loved ones reminds me of our strong community bonds.
Though I currently reside in an unknown location, my heart remains deeply connected to Guyana. I often engage with the diaspora, sharing stories and experiences that remind us all of home. I've noticed that our discussions often touch on the little quirks of daily life—like the unique way we drive without indicators or traffic signals, and the correct pronunciation of our beloved places like Esequibo, which many often mispronounce. It’s these small details that shape our identity and keep our culture alive, regardless of where we are.
