Growing up here has instilled in me a profound appreciation for our unique culture, from the delightful flavors of our culinary heritage—think pepperpot and roti—to the warmth of our community gatherings that celebrate our various backgrounds, including Indigenous, African, East Indian, Chinese, Portuguese, and European influences.
