Hello! My name is Fazir Hatim, and I proudly call Coast 048 Suddie Essequibo home. Nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural fabric of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers, my heart is filled with memories of fishing along the Pomeroon River and enjoying the delicious flavors of our local cuisine—nothing beats a good pepperpot or some fresh fish curry!
As a resident of Essequibo, I cherish the warm community spirit that thrives here. Whether gathering at local markets or sharing stories on Liberty Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard in Queens with fellow Guyanese, I find joy in the connections we maintain, no matter where life takes us. It’s the little things, like the scent of freshly made roti or the sounds of laughter during a cricket match, that remind me of home.
Through my journey, I hold close to the memories of places like Upper Pomeroon and the stories of River Curimeru Wakapau. These experiences shape my identity and fuel my passion for the diverse culture we share. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
