Hello! I’m Feandra Parbattie, a proud resident of the beautiful Essequibo Coast in Guyana, specifically from Lima Anna, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and the winding rivers of this region has deeply influenced who I am. Whether I’m indulging in a tasty plate of pepperpot or enjoying the vibrant colors of our local markets, my heart beats for the rich culture and traditions that make our country unique.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I have with people near and far. From sharing stories about our beloved landmarks, like the iconic Kaieteur Falls, to reminiscing about the lively celebrations during Mashramani, I find joy in connecting with fellow Guyanese whether they are at home or abroad. The warmth of our community, where everyone is treated like family – calling each other “auntie” and “uncle,” even if we’re not related – truly embodies the spirit of our nation.
