Living in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am immersed in the rich culture and vibrant traditions that define our beautiful Guyana. From the lush greenery of our landscape to the flowing waters of the Pomeroon River, every aspect of my surroundings connects me to the natural beauty and heritage of this land.
As a resident, I take immense pride in our unique culinary delights, especially the ever-popular cook-up rice, which brings family and friends together around the dinner table. You won’t catch me referring to it as rice and peas here! Our local dishes embody a fusion of influences, reflecting the diverse communities that have settled in Guyana over generations. Whether it's enjoying a Sunday meal with loved ones or sharing recipes within the diaspora, food is a love language that transcends borders.
Beyond the kitchen, I cherish the stories and experiences that unite us as Guyanese, both at home and abroad. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
