Hello! I’m Feona John, and I proudly call Regina Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my life is a blend of the vibrant culture and the rich natural beauty that Guyana has to offer. From the sounds of the local market where the aroma of fresh cook-up rice and pepperpot fills the air, to the serene views of the Essequibo River, every day is a reminder of my roots. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, sharing stories and laughter over a plate of fried plantains and a cold bottle of Banks beer.
As a resident of this lively community, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and triumphs that we face together. The migration of many hardworking, ambitious individuals from our shores often leaves behind a mix of hope and struggle. Yet, I believe in the potential of our people. There’s a certain resilience within us, a determination to rise above the hurdles. While our customer service may need a little polishing, the warmth and generosity of the Guyanese spirit remain unmatched.
