Hello! I'm Feroord Shaw, a passionate carpenter based in the beautiful village of La Bagatelle on the scenic Leguan Island in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions and vibrant culture of Guyana, I've always been inspired by the craftsmanship and artistry that defines our community. From crafting bespoke furniture to taking on renovation projects, I feel a deep connection to the heritage of my home, where every piece tells a story of our diverse roots.
Being part of a country so rich in flavors, I often find inspiration from the local cuisine. Whether it's enjoying the jerk chicken fried rice from The Nest or sharing a meal of pepperpot with family and friends, I love how food brings us together. Through my work, I aim to create spaces where memories are made—just like those we cherish around the dinner table or at gatherings celebrating the spirit of Guyanese life.
