Hello! I’m Finola Permansingh, a proud resident of Success Essequibo Coast on the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam road. Growing up in this vibrant community, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the rich culture and traditions that define our Guyanese identity. From the mouthwatering flavors of our famous Guyanese Chinese cuisine—arguably the best in the Caribbean—to the lively celebrations of Mashramani, every aspect of our culture fills my life with joy and pride.
As a local, I understand the challenges faced by many in our agricultural communities, where rice farming remains a cornerstone of our economy. Despite the struggles, there’s an undeniable resilience among us. I often engage with the diaspora, hearing their stories and experiences, which strengthens our connection to home. Whether it's sharing a meal or discussing the latest cricket match at the local ground, these interactions remind me of the warm spirit of our people and the shared dream of a thriving Guyana.
