Hello! I’m Floyd Mal, a proud resident of Coast 79 Public Road in Huis't, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region has deeply influenced my appreciation for the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana. The Upper Pomeroon River, with its serene beauty, is more than just a place to me; it’s a reminder of the interconnectedness of our communities, where stories and traditions flow as freely as the water.
As someone who cherishes the flavors of my homeland, I have a particular fondness for local delicacies like chicken patties that bring a sense of nostalgia, whether I’m enjoying them at a local firefest or sharing them with friends. The warmth of our Guyanese culture extends beyond borders, connecting us with families across the diaspora in Canada, the USA, and even as far as Brazil. It's heartening to see how Guyana is gaining recognition on the world stage, particularly with our natural resources often referred to as "black gold."
