Greetings from the heart of the Essequibo Coast! My name is Fownda Callender, and I proudly call Sand Pit Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has shaped my passion for our rich culture. From the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and flying fish to the lively sounds of our local festivals, each experience has deepened my appreciation for the unique blend of traditions that define us as Guyanese.
As a resident of this beautiful region, I cherish the close-knit bonds within our community—no one understands the importance of a good “chief driver” meme quite like we do! Whether it’s taking a leisurely boat ride along the Pomeroon River or sharing laughs over a plate of pepperpot during family gatherings, these moments remind me of the resilience and warmth of our people. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
