As a dedicated farmer, I have deep roots in the fertile soil of Guyana, where I cultivate a variety of crops that reflect our rich agricultural heritage. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing my love for Guyanese cooking and the flavors of home with others, especially those in the diaspora who yearn for a taste of our culture.
Living on the banks of the mighty Essequibo River, I often draw inspiration from the stunning natural beauty that surrounds me. The lush mangroves, vibrant wildlife, and the breathtaking sunsets remind me of the stories passed down from my foreparents, who journeyed from places like Lucknow, India, to seek a better life. Just like them, I embrace the diversity of our people and the myriad of influences that have shaped our identity. We may joke about comparisons to our neighbors, but there’s no denying the pride we carry in our unique Guyanese heritage.
Whether I'm at the local market or sharing my experiences online, I cherish the connections I make with fellow Guyanese and those in the diaspora. Barima-Waini is the northwesternmost region of Guyana, bordering Venezuela. Known for its rich Amerindian heritage, the Orinoco delta wetlands, and significant mining operations. Population center is Mabaruma.
