About FRANKLIN DELANO JUPITER

About Franklin Jupiter

Hello! I’m Franklin Jupiter, a proud farmer from the Essequibo Coast, specifically at 24 Public Road Dunkeld in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My roots run deep in the rich, fertile soils of Guyana, where I cultivate an array of crops that reflect the vibrant agricultural heritage of our land. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the sounds of the Pomeroon River, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for the simple yet profound joys of life in our beautiful country.

As a passionate advocate for local produce, I often share the joys of traditional Guyanese dishes like pepperpot and roti, which bring together family and friends. I believe in the importance of keeping our cultural traditions alive, from the bustling markets filled with fresh goods to the festive spirit of Mashramani. My heart beats for my community and its potential, especially as we embrace the ongoing changes that come with economic development. I often reminisce about the remarks from the diaspora, like how they can’t wait to visit and taste the flavors of home—just as I often hear, “Damn, you got an iron stomach!” when we share our delicious local cuisine.

Through my work and passion for agriculture, I aim to connect with both locals and those in the diaspora who share a love for Guyana, whether it’s by reminiscing about the Lower Pom River or inviting others to explore our hidden gems. I welcome conversations that celebrate our culture and foster understanding, and I’m always eager to hear from anyone who shares my love for this unique slice of South America. Let’s keep the spirit of Guyana alive, no matter where we are in the world!
