Greetings! My name is Galbert Calistro, and I am proud to call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home, though I currently reside in Pom River Grant Arizona Siriki. As a farmer, I am deeply connected to the lush lands of Guyana, where the soil is rich and the produce is vibrant. My passion for agriculture stems from a long lineage of farming that stretches back through generations in my family. Whether I am cultivating rice or tending to my fruit trees, I find joy in nurturing the land that has given so much to my community.
For me, food is an essential part of our heritage. You can often find me enjoying a plate of Guyanese curry or fry fish with some freshly made puri and pepper pot—there's nothing quite like it! I also cherish the memories of family gatherings where we share stories and laughter over delicious meals, capturing the essence of our culture. Being part of the Guyanese diaspora, I take pride in sharing our culinary delights and traditions with friends and neighbors, reminding them of our beautiful homeland.
I hope to contribute to the ongoing development of our community, both here and back home in Guyana.
