Growing up in Guyana, I have a profound appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. From savoring the aroma of freshly made roti and curry to enjoying vibrant festivals like Mashramani, my roots run deep. I often find joy in sharing our unique dishes and traditions with friends and family, whether here in Guyana or in the diaspora, where many still hold onto our customs even from afar. I firmly believe in the importance of connecting with our land and history, and I stand with my fellow Guyanese in advocating for the recognition and respect of our territories, including the Esequibo region.
