Hello! My name is Gary Ragunauth, and I am a proud painter residing in the heart of the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically on the 28 Public Road Richmond in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I've been deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage of my homeland, from the sounds of traditional music echoing through the streets to the delicious aromas of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting from local kitchens. Guyana is a small but beautiful country, filled with lush landscapes, like the serene Pomeroon River, and I strive to capture that beauty in my artwork.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the longing many feel to return home, whether it's to celebrate a birthday or to revisit cherished memories. Just as @jacquelinecase7975 expressed a desire to visit for her special day, I too hold my roots close. My work not only reflects the stunning scenery of Guyana but also connects with the stories of those who have ventured far and wide, sharing our culture with the world.
