Hello! I’m Geeta Persaud, a proud resident of East Bank Essequibo, specifically in the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up here has immersed me in the rich and diverse culture of Guyana, where the warmth of our people is as strong as the aroma of our beloved pepperpot simmering on a festive occasion. My home is a stone’s throw from the famous seawall, a reminder of our history and resilience, and I often find myself reflecting on the labor of those who came before us, who contributed to the land we cherish today.
