Greetings! I’m Geewan Dadolall, a proud craftsman residing in Golden on the Essequibo Coast. Growing up in the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve always been inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. From the vibrant colors of the markets to the tantalizing aroma of pepperpot and cook-up rice wafting through the streets, my roots are deeply embedded in the local flavors and traditions. My work is influenced by the craftsmanship passed down through generations, highlighting the beauty of our local materials and the stories they tell.
As a son of the Lower Pomeroon River, I carry the spirit of my community with me, whether it’s through my artisanal creations or the tales shared among neighbors. The warmth of our people and the resilience in our hearts remind me of the importance of connection, whether here at home or in the diaspora. I’ve met many lovely Guyanese around the world, and I cherish the camaraderie and support we extend to one another, bridging the distance between our beloved homeland and wherever we may roam.
