Nestled along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, this vibrant region is where I immerse myself in the beauty of our natural surroundings. One of my greatest joys is sharing our rich culinary heritage, particularly our beloved pepper pot, which takes me back to those warm family gatherings filled with laughter and good food. It’s a dish that symbolizes our culture, bringing together the diverse influences that make our cuisine so special. Eating pepper pot is more than just a meal; it’s a celebration of our roots and a reminder of the warmth of home, even as many of us navigate life in the diaspora.
As a resident of Richmond, I remain connected to my community and the values we hold dear.
