Living in a country where the Amazon rainforest meets the Atlantic Ocean, I often find myself inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us, such as the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the serene beaches of Essequibo. Beyond the stunning landscapes, it’s the warmth of our people—whether sharing stories at a local cook-up or celebrating the vibrant festivals of Phagwah and Diwali—that truly embodies the spirit of Guyana. I cherish my connections with the diaspora, particularly those in places like Canada, where we celebrate our heritage while adapting to new cultures.
