Hello! I’m Godfrey John, a proud Guyanese miner hailing from Upper Pom River Grant in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage. As a miner, I’ve learned the value of hard work and community. For those of us who’ve ventured abroad, these culinary experiences create a powerful connection to our roots, reminding us of home even when we're far away.
I now live in New Zealand but cherish my Guyanese heritage, connecting with fellow diaspora members who carry the spirit of our homeland wherever they go. Whether it's reminiscing about our childhood or sharing stories of our vibrant culture, I believe that our bonds strengthen our identity as a community.
