Hello! I’m Goodman Gittens, a proud farmer residing at Coast 264 Ptolemy Avenue in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this land, where the lush greenery meets the rich culture that defines our vibrant community. Growing up amidst the fertile banks of the Pomeroon River, I’ve come to appreciate not just the bounty of the earth but the warmth of the people who call this place home. From the sweet aroma of fresh cassava bread to the lively sound of a tassa band during festivals, my life is a celebration of our unique Guyanese heritage.
As someone who cultivates crops and nurtures the land, I find joy in sharing the fruits of my labor with others. Many of us know the stories of those who’ve ventured abroad, yet we remain intertwined through traditions like sharing sugar cake during Diwali or savoring a hearty bowl of pepperpot during Christmas.
