Hello! My name is Haimraj Nankishore, and I proudly call Coast Riverstown Sand in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I work hard to support my family and community, drawing inspiration from the rich natural beauty that surrounds us. Life here is filled with the vibrant colors of our local flora, the sounds of the Pomeroon River, and the warmth of our close-knit neighborhoods. Whether it’s sharing a plate of pepperpot with friends or enjoying a sweet cassava pone, every meal is a celebration of our Guyanese heritage.
Being a part of the Guyanese diaspora means staying connected with my roots, even from afar. I cherish the stories of our land, from the iconic landmarks like the Essequibo River to the simple joys of fishing in the local creeks. It’s those hidden gems that remind me of who we are and where we come from.
