My name is Hameed Habiboodean, and I’m a proud carpenter based in the picturesque Essequibo region of Guyana, specifically at Good Hope on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up among the vibrant landscapes and rich cultural heritage of this beautiful country, I've developed a deep appreciation for the warmth of our people, the mouthwatering flavors of our local dishes like pepperpot and roti, and the stunning views along the Essequibo River.
As a carpenter, I take pride in my craft, creating pieces that not only serve a purpose but also reflect the essence of our culture. Whether it’s designing furniture that resonates with our traditional aesthetics or building homes that embody the spirit of togetherness, I strive to bring a piece of Guyana into every project. I often draw inspiration from the colorful ZR vans that traverse our roads, each uniquely designed and brimming with character, much like the diverse communities of Guyanese people living at home and abroad.
Though I may be based in Guyana, I carry the love and connection of our diaspora with me.
