Living near Temhri, just south of Georgetown where the Cheddi Jagan International Airport lies, I have come to appreciate the unique blend of our heritage—everything from the diverse languages spoken to the rich culinary delights we cherish. I often reminisce about the jungle food we enjoy, which connects us to our roots and the land that nurtures us. It’s a reminder of the resilience and resourcefulness that runs in our blood, as we find joy in the simplest of things, like a lucky catch or a hearty meal shared with family.
