Hello! My name is Hardat Durga, and I am proud to call Lodge Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, this vibrant community is rich in culture and history, where the sounds of laughter and the scent of home-cooked meals fill the air. Growing up here, I have developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, especially the delightful combination of pumpkin and roti that many of us cherish. This dish, like so many others, is a testament to the love and tradition that defines our Guyanese way of life.
As a resident of this beautiful region, I am passionate about connecting with others who share my love for our culture, whether they are near or far. The bond with our diaspora is strong, as many of us remember the warmth of family gatherings enjoying pelau or sharing a bake and shark from Maracas Beach.
