Hello! I’m Harkumar Pershad, a proud Guyanese and captain, based in the heart of Bank Essequibo, in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My love for the rich culture and heritage of Guyana is deeply rooted in my daily life, from the vibrant festivals to the serene beauty of the Pomeroon River. Growing up surrounded by the flavors of our local cuisine, there's nothing quite like the warmth of a plate of Guyanese Chinese food shared with friends and family, which many say is the best in the world!
As a captain, I navigate these beautiful waters, fostering a connection not just with the land but with the diverse communities that call Guyana home. My work allows me to explore and appreciate the vibrant tapestry of cultures—whether it's celebrating Diwali, reminiscing about our Hindu roots, or simply enjoying a quiet evening by the riverbank. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
