Hello! I’m Harry Persaud, a proud resident of Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of 53 Lima New Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Living in the Land of Six Nations, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural mosaic that defines Guyana. From the sounds of the markets to the aromas of our beloved dishes like pepperpot and curry, every day here is a reminder of the warmth and resilience of our people.
As someone who enjoys the simple pleasures of life, I often find myself reminiscing about the weekends spent by the Pomeroon River, where the laughter of children and the chatter of neighbors create a lively atmosphere that is truly special. I believe that our diverse heritage, whether it’s indulging in braised beef at a family gathering or sharing stories of our ancestors, brings us together as a community. And while there are challenges we face, like the need for better tourism infrastructure, I remain hopeful about the future of our beautiful country.
