Hello! I’m Harrychan Persaud, an engineer based in the picturesque East Bank Essequibo. The lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, dotted with rivers and rich with biodiversity, have shaped my appreciation for the natural beauty that Guyana offers. From the vibrant culture to the warmth of its people, every day is a reminder of the diverse heritage we share, from the coast to the interior, including places like Karawab and Pom River Grant Mafeking Lower.
As a proud Guyanese, I have a deep connection to our culinary delights, especially the comforting taste of local dishes like pepperpot, which brings back memories of family gatherings. I also cherish the rich flavors of our street food, reminiscent of the bustling markets and the friendly exchanges that characterize our way of life. While I often hear mixed opinions about our country, there’s a resilience in our spirit that drives me to contribute positively to our community and address the challenges we face together.
Through my work as an engineer, I hope to help improve the infrastructure in our beloved Guyana and uplift our communities.
