Greetings from the Essequibo Coast! My name is Havita Manbood, and I proudly call 69 Middle Street in Maria's, Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Living in such a vibrant and culturally rich area, I find myself deeply connected to the beautiful landscapes and diverse communities that make Guyana truly special. The warmth of our people and the flavors of our traditional dishes, like duck curry, are just a few aspects that bring joy to my everyday life.
As a resident of Guyana, I often find myself reflecting on the complex narratives of our land, such as the longstanding discussions about the Essequibo River and its significance to both Guyana and Venezuela.
