Greetings! My name is Hazel Benjamin, and I proudly call the Coast New Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up near the beautiful Pomeroon River has deeply influenced my life, from the vibrant community spirit to the rich cultural heritage that permeates our daily experiences. I cherish the aroma of fresh cook-up rice wafting through the air and the sound of music echoing from the corn festival celebrations. Guyana’s diverse influences shape my identity, and I have a profound love for our traditional music, especially the enchanting sounds of the accordion that often accompany our gatherings.
