Greetings! My name is Heemat Chandrabhan, and I hail from the vibrant community of Essequibo, located on Back Street North in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a carpenter, I take immense pride in my craft, which allows me to express my creativity while contributing to the beautiful homes and spaces in my community. Guyana, known as the "land of many waters," has shaped my life and work; the lush landscapes and diverse cultures inspire both my designs and my connections with others.
In Guyana, hospitality runs deep in our veins. I love welcoming friends, both near and far, with a traditional glass of Mauby or a refreshing coconut water straight from the tree. There’s nothing quite like sharing stories and laughter over a hearty meal of cook-up rice and fried fish, especially during festive seasons. Whether it's celebrating Christmas with the family or enjoying a casual gathering with friends at Stabrook Market, these moments remind me of the warmth that defines our culture and the importance of community ties.
