Welcome to my corner of Essequibo! My name is Heeraman Persaud, a proud fisherman from the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up along the banks of the Pomeroon River, I’ve always found solace in the rhythms of the water and the bounty it brings. Whether it’s casting my net or sharing stories of the day’s catch, my life is intertwined with the rich traditions of our coastal communities. Each day is an opportunity to connect with the land and the people who make it so special.
When I'm not out on the water, you can find me enjoying the local delicacies such as pepperpot and metemgee, or perhaps at a family gathering where the laughter and music fill the air. My roots run deep in this land, from the serene landscapes of Essequibo to the friendly faces in St. Monica and Karawab. The warmth of our diaspora community always reminds me of the importance of family and the bonds we share, even when miles apart.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
