Hello! I’m Helena Indardai, a proud vendor from the beautiful coast of Airy Hall in Essequibo, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My days are filled with the vibrant energy of our local markets, where I proudly offer a taste of Guyana through my homemade delicacies. From the rich flavors of pepperpot to the delightful sweetness of cassava pone, every dish carries a piece of my heritage. You might even catch me chatting with customers about the latest happenings in our community or sharing stories about the picturesque Essequibo River that flows just nearby.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain, both at home and abroad. My friends and family often reminisce about the days spent enjoying the lively festivities of Mashramani or the exciting atmosphere of cricket matches. Even though I currently call Airy Hall home, I have a special place in my heart for my fellow Guyanese around the world, whether they are teaching in Indonesia or navigating life in the U.S. There's a unique bond we share, rooted in our culture, language, and the warmth of our people.
