Hello! I’m Henry Merchant, a dedicated manager based in the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My journey began in Georgetown, where I developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from the vibrant sounds of steelpan music to the tantalizing flavors of cook-up rice and pepperpot. Growing up amidst the hustle and bustle of the capital, I have always been passionate about contributing to the growth of our beloved country, especially now as we navigate the exciting yet challenging times brought on by our rapidly growing economy.
Having spent much of my career fostering connections within the diaspora, I understand the importance of bringing our Guyanese brothers and sisters back home. I resonate with the sentiments expressed by my fellow countrymen who envision a developing Guyana that remains true to its roots without the overshadowing influence of foreign cultures.
