Living in Essequibo, I’m fortunate to be close to some of Guyana’s most breathtaking landscapes, where the lush greenery meets the mighty rivers that are the lifeblood of our nation. The natural beauty here reminds me of the importance of preserving our environment, a sentiment echoed by many in our diaspora who seek to maintain a connection to our homeland.
