Hello! Iām Solomon Henry, a proud farmer hailing from the vibrant village of Baramita in the breathtaking Barima-Waini region of Guyana. Nestled in the heart of the lush rainforest, my days are spent cultivating the land that my ancestors have tended for generations. The rhythm of life here is deeply rooted in our connection to the earth, and it brings me immense joy to produce the fresh fruits and vegetables that nourish our community.
As a Guyanese, I carry with me the rich flavors of our culture, particularly the beloved dishes like pepper pot, which always evokes fond memories, especially when shared with family. I often joke that it never lasts more than two days in my house! My heart also finds warmth in our diaspora, as many of us have ventured to the USA and beyond, often reminiscing about the beauty of our homeland and even visiting our ancestral roots in India.
