Hello! My name is Herbert France, and I proudly call Lima Sands in the Essequibo region my home. As a laborer, I work hard to support my family and contribute to my community. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty of the Pomeroon-Supenaam area, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the rich culture and vibrant traditions of Guyana. Whether it's savoring a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying a refreshing coconut water on a sunny day, these experiences shape who I am.
Living in Guyana means embracing the colorful spirit of our people. I have fond memories of the unique ZR vans, decked out in bright designs, hustling through the villages—each telling its own story. The warmth of our community is palpable, especially during festivals and gatherings, where the aroma of cook-up rice and fried plantains fills the air, and laughter connects us all. Despite the challenges we face, including the need for better resources and governance, I remain hopeful and motivated to see our beautiful country flourish.
