Hello! My name is Hubert James, and I proudly serve as a pastor on the beautiful River Calabash Island in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community, I have always been immersed in the rich culture and traditions that define our way of life. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot on special occasions to the lively sounds of our local festivals, I am deeply connected to the heart of Guyanese culture.
As a pastor, my mission extends beyond the walls of the church; I strive to uplift and inspire not just my congregation but everyone in my community. I believe in fostering connections that bridge the gap between our diaspora and those of us who remain in Guyana. I often hear from fellow Guyanese abroad about their experiences and how they cherish the simple joys of home—like a warm bowl of cook-up rice, the lush greenery of our landscapes, and the warmth of our people.
