Hello! My name is Ilyude Prince, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of East Bank Essequibo, nestled along the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam coast. As a seaman, I’ve traveled far and wide, but my heart will always belong to Guyana, with its rich blend of cultures — a delightful mix of Indian, African, and Amerindian heritages. From the bustling streets of Georgetown to the serene beauty of the Essequibo River, every corner of my homeland offers a unique story waiting to be told.
Food is at the heart of our culture, and I’m a firm believer that nothing beats a bowl of our famous pepperpot or a plate of delicious Guyanese Chinese fried rice. As I share my experiences with people around the world, I cherish introducing them to the flavors of my country, where culinary traditions reflect our diverse roots.
