Greetings from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region! My name is Iman Shaw, and I proudly serve as a driver at the Coast 92 Pumping Station. As a Guyanese, I carry the vibrant spirit of our culture wherever I go. Whether it's sharing the mouthwatering flavors of our famous pepperpot or the delightful sweetness of black cake during the holidays, I believe that our food is a true reflection of who we are—a blend of diverse influences that come together to create something uniquely Guyanese.
Living in a country that is physically in South America yet culturally tied to the Caribbean, I often find myself explaining our rich heritage to those unfamiliar with our roots. As a proud member of the CARICOM community, I cherish the bonds we share with our neighbors and the strength of our identity as a people. Despite the distance from our homeland that many in the diaspora feel, I believe those connections remain strong, and it brings me joy to welcome others to experience the beauty and resilience of Guyana.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
