Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Lower Pom, from New Hope to Enmore, I have always been inspired by the flavors of our culinary heritage. Whether it’s a hearty plate of cook-up rice or a sweet treat of black cake, food has an incredible way of bringing us together. I believe that sharing our recipes and traditions strengthens our bonds as a community, both here in Guyana and among those of us in the diaspora.
